For instance, the Scottish Government and Neogen Corporation (U.S.) extended their genomic testing partnership through 2021 to support the Beef Efficiency Scheme (BES), aimed at improving the efficiency and sustainability of the Scottish beef herd. This partnership highlights how genomic testing is being used to enhance livestock productivity and reduce the environmental impact of beef production.

Additionally, in Canada, the government of Ontario and Ontario Pork announced a joint investment of USD 18 million to establish a cutting-edge swine research facility. This project will foster innovation in the swine sector, boosting productivity and addressing industry challenges.
